Postdoctoral Researcher Sought for Marine Natural Products in Drug Discovery: Galway, Ireland

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a fixed term Postdoctoral Researcher contract position to work on discovery of marine natural products. This position is funded by Beaufort Marine Biodiscovery programme, which aims to assess Irish marine biological diversity to develop novel natural products for application in areas such as drug discovery and biomedical research. It involves a consortium of 3 universities (NUI Galway, UCC and QUB). The Beaufort Marine Research Award is carried out under the Sea Change Strategy and the Strategy for Science Technology and Innovation, with the support of the Marine Institute, funded under the Marine Research Sub-Programme of the National Development Plan 2007-2013. The duration of the post will initially be for 12 months with the possibility of extension to 3 years, dependent on the successful progress of the post-holder.
